Why does my rx7 smoke

There is a chance that one of the rotor housing "o" ring seals is beginning to fail. This would translate into something like a head gasket.

The rotor housing is surrounded with coolant and is sealed by a pair of large "or" rings. These can fail over time. Also white smoke is from coolant burning and usually from a bad head gasket. They have rotary engines; which do no have heads. It seems to me that its an oil problem, but alas, im no expert. Is this is so, the car should have a slight hesitation or slower start up, then result with white smoke.

If you're puffing a little bit of black smoke in the beginning, then thats normal for rotaries. I'd say check all your fluids weekly and report back to us. Thanks for the insight guys But why would the smoke only last for awhile? I have been around cars that have blown head gaskets Also there is no loss of coolant I'd bet thats the problem. My gess Oil ring control seals. Well if it is any of the Seals yes. Maybe the oil ring controls are not majorly fecked as it only smokes when oil is hot and thin.

Whens last oil change? Il say Change it maybe with a thicker grade to, then see fella. Gymbob Active Member. Kseal FTW!! Good for cracked heads n gaskets too. I was wondering if it was the fuel CarGurus has 29 nationwide RX-7 listings and the tools to find you a great deal. Review another car.
